The GFDW
The Georgia Federation of Democratic is an official member state of the NFDW working around the state in various counties to engage women in politics and educate voters.
As an organization, the GFDW has embraced their growing local chapters and invited them into their circle of sisterhood to embody the mission of the GFDW, which is:
To promote and encourage qualified women to seek political office and to serve on government boards and agencies
To promote the election of Democrats in all levels of government
To support or oppose various educational and social programs that are of concern to women in the state of Georgia.

Why found the SAVFDW?
The Savannah Federation of Democratic Women was founded in 2021 to work on local issues within Chatham County and work in tandem with other Democratic Women throughout Georgia.
The founding officers of the SAVFDW met at and co-organized the October 2nd Savannah Women’s March for Reproductive Rights. We knew how important it was to have representation for women’s issues in our government.
After the march, we decided to build a strong network of like-minded women who could rally when needed, advocate and support other non-profit organizations for women, and get out to vote for strong leadership in Georgia.
