The objective of the organization shall be to unite women of the Democratic Party; empower women to become progressive Democratic leaders, and to encourage full participation and decision-making from Democratic women in every level of the party structure.

The SAVFDW, as an organization, will not endorse an individual candidate in a contested primary. This organization shall take no part in supporting one Democratic candidate over another in any primary, nor shall any member or officer be permitted to do so in the name of the SAVFDW.

We helped organize the Women’s March

The Vision Set Forth By The SAVFDW is to use this organization to:

  • Spread dignity for and amongst women

  • Encourage human evolution and growth

  • Make a healthy community with a focus on mental health and wellness

  • Provide representation for the electorate

  • Increase civil rights

  • Increase the right to vote

  • Increase women’s resources as mothers and in regards to equal pay

  • Promote voters as serious thinking individuals who are informed of their choices as an electorate

  • Encourage competent Democratic women to run for office

  • Combat voter suppression and voter apathy

  • Learn why voters think they’re not in the fight and convince them otherwise

  • Create opportunity and equity among citizens

  • Encourage women to stand tall for their value and participation in government and power structures

Join Our Women’s Rights & Activism Group

  • Combat intersectional discrimination that affects women of color, immigrant women, lesbian and trans women, and other marginalized groups

  • Fulfill our democratic duty and obligation to restore human rights to ourselves and others

  • Advance humanistic values––that all persons are free, equal citizens, who deserve respect, equity, and opportunity

  • Promote civic education––or the study of the rights and obligations of citizens in a society

  • Educate people on how powerful they are––on how valuable their participation in politics is

  • Ensure fraud-free elections and promote campaigns using fair and just tactics that are based on facts

  • Teach women how to go from electorate to organizer––unleash their untapped potential

  • Encourage women voters to step up, stand out, speak up, show up to vote, and participate in public discourse
